Information about notation:

  • Angled brackets <> indicate that this section will be replaced by something. For example, if "<operator>" is shown in the table, the word operator will not actually be announced; instead the relevant train operator will be - for example CrossCountry
  • Braces {} indicate a choice between two phrases. For example, if "at the {front/middle/rear} the train" is shown in the table, then in some cases the system will announce at the front, in some cases at the rear, and in some cases at the middle.
  • Regular brackets () indicate that a phrase is sometimes, but not always, announced. For example, if "(Please mind the gap)" is shown, then in some cases the phrase please mind the gap will be heard, and in some cases it will not.
