Karen Cunningham, more commonly known as just Karen, is an announcer on the British Railway Network. Since 2011 she has been the Scottish voice for Atos, but since very few stations in Scotland use the Atos system, Karen is not widely heard. She is however installed in Scotland's three largest stations - Glasgow Central, Glasgow Queen Street and Edinburgh Waverley.
The real-life Karen Cunningham works at Glasgow Central station she married to her husband Brian who also works at Glasgow Central station and her nephew Gary also works for Network Rail.
